Spring is coming fast and soon we will start seeing the effects of warmer weather with the popping of spring flowers, budding trees and new life in the woods and streams. Oceana County has some of the most beautiful spring scenes in Michigan. The Ladder Community Center would like to invite you to look around you and capture your favorite spring scene photos of Oceana County. We will have three contestant categories that include youth up to 18, adults from 19 to 54 and young at heart 55 and over.
The contest dates will begin April 15th and end May 16th. All photos must be taken in Oceana County and the general location needs to be identified on the entry form for each photo. The photos will be on display at the Ladder and will be judged after May 15th by knowledgeable local professional photographers. The photos can be of scenery, wildlife or any county landmarks, shorelines or other settings. Use your imagination and creativity to capture “Spring in Oceana County”. The photos need to be printed in an 8 by 10 format and simply mounted on white board or other similar mounting board. There will be an entry form to be filled out when you bring in your photos. Each entrant is allowed to enter up to two photos. There will be an Open House on a Saturday, May 21st for a public viewing and announcing the winners. Awards will be given out for the top three places. All photos need to be original unaltered work of the entrant and taken in Oceana County this spring between April 15th and May 16th, 2016. Entries may be turned in any time after April 15th until noon on May 16, 2016. This contest is open to amateur photographers only. A digital copy of the winning photos must be sent to info@theladdercommunitycenter.com for use by The Ladder Community Center for future promotional purposes only.

![]() The “Ladder” would like to invite the “Young at Heart” to join in with our new Cribbage League. We will begin the Cribbage League on Wednesday, March 30. The Cribbage League will consist of two person teams that will play the other teams in a rotation on a weekly basis. The match play will consist of 3 games each week for 6 weeks. A chart will be posted to record the W/L results of each team per week. Based on the W/L record of the 6 weeks of play, the top four teams will have a play-off in week 7. The winners of the play-off matches will play in week 8 for “Braggin Rights” and their names engraved on a plague to be hung on the Wall of Fame at the Ladder. There will be a Cribbage League sign-up sheet at the Ladder or you can register your team below. League details and rules will be available at the Ladder. This is a Free Event, so find a friend or meet a new friend that we will try to pair you with if you don’t have a partner. The Cribbage League will be held on Wednesdays.
