AgeWell Services is excited to announce a new meal site location in Oceana County. Starting Monday, October 3, 2016 AgeWell Services will be providing meals Monday-Friday at Noon to seniors at The Ladder Community Center, 67 N. State St. in Shelby.
Lunch will be provided to seniors 60 and older on a donation basis through the Older American’s Act. Suggested donations are on a sliding scale rate based on your income, typically $2.50-$5 range.
“We are excited to provide an additional location for seniors to eat a nutritious meal in Oceana County,” said Laura Beechnau, Community Nutrition Senior Manager. “The Ladder Community Center is great location for seniors living in or near Shelby and we look forward to a great partnership.”
Seniors can enjoy varied menus, tasty choices, and healthy options including hot and hearty menu, salad menu, or sandwich menu options. All menus are certified by our registered dietitian.
Reservations are encouraged by Noon one day in advance. You can make reservations by 231-259-0211.

Thank you for showing our parents the love they really need! My parents are always looking for events like this where they can get together with people around their age group to share their stories. They love traveling but because of the state of their body, they have to have a company other than themselves to ensure their safety. I hope that people who administers this kind of community will not get tired of offering their help. We really appreciate it!
