![]() The Ladder Community Center is excited to announce a new supper and snack program. The Ladder in conjunction with Shelby Public Schools and the Michigan Department of Education is offering an after school meal program at The Ladder. Starting Tuesday, October 4, 2016, Shelby Public Schools will be providing meals Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5-6:30 pm for teens and 5:30-6:30 for adults at The Ladder Community Center, 67 N. State St. in Shelby. Supper will be served to students in grades 6-12 and adults through the Child-Adult Care Feeding Program. Adults pay $2 for the meal. Monday-Thursday snacks will be provided from 4-5 pm for youth, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:30-8 pm for youth and adults. The snack will free for youth and $.75 for adults. “The Ladder Community Center seeks to provide programs that meet the needs of our community,” said Brian Beckman, Co-Director of The Ladder. “During this summer’s Meet Up Eat Up Program, we served over 900 meals to youth and approximately 500 meals to adults. We are excited to expand our meal program and continue our collaboration with Shelby Public Schools.” Based on the daily numbers attending, we have a certain number of meals available.
