![]() The Ladder Community Center is expanding hours starting in May and summer hours will begin June 13. The center’s opening time will change to 9:00 am for the Young at Heart to exercise and participate in planned and open activities. Coffee will be available at 10:00 am. From 12:00 pm to 3 pm the center will be open for any age adult to use the facilities Monday through Friday. In keeping with our mission to be an intergenerational center, during this afternoon time parents or grandparents may bring children to the center to engage in activities together. We desire adults to be fully present with the children. The hours for middle school and high school will change from 3-5 pm and high school hours will be from 7-9 pm Monday through Thursday, beginning Monday, May 2 and ending the last day of school Thursday, June 9. Monday, June 13th starts the beginning of summer hours. Any age adult and children in elementary and below are welcome with a supervised adult during the 12- 3 pm time slot. Middle school and high school students are able to access the center Monday through Friday from 12-3 pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons 3-5 for middle and high school students and evenings from 7-9 pm for just high school students.

I was so excited to see that we were getting a community center. I was disappointed that my age range is not represented at any designated times that work with my schedule. I was interested in possibly becoming active too, but there doesn't seem to be anything for my age group going on. Often people in my age group are working when the center is open to us. I am 46.
